history
Women in Business was founded in October of 1997 under the direction of Jocelyn Bennett, the Coordinator of Minority Affairs within the Smeal College of Business Administration. During the spring semester of 1998, WIB received its official charter from the University. Starting out with only seven members, WIB has grown enormously over the past twenty years, and now boasts over 350 members. Throughout the years, WIB has defined four pillars of the organization: Leadership, Community Service, Networking, and Professional Development. Currently, WIB welcomes both male and female undergraduate students of all majors into the organization.
